Terms of Use

Last updated October 29, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and The Rebel Scholar Corp., a Delaware corporation doing business as BRiDDG ("BRiDDG," "we," "us"). They cover briddg.com, app.briddg.com and any BRiDDG service that links to them (the "Services"). Contact us at support@briddg.com or 1534 N Moorpark Rd #375, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, United States.

Important: Section 17 contains an arbitration agreement and class action waiver. Please read it.

By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Who can use BRiDDG

BRiDDG is designed for high school students, their parents and guardians, and schools.

  • If you are 13 to 17, you may use BRiDDG with the permission of a parent or guardian, who should review these Terms with you.
  • If you are under 13, you may use BRiDDG only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, or through a school that has authorized your use, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts without that consent.
  • If you use BRiDDG for a school or district, you confirm you are authorized to act for it.

2. What BRiDDG does

BRiDDG helps students capture real experiences, understand their strengths, explore colleges and careers, and write their own application essays with guidance. BRiDDG does not guarantee admission to any college, any scholarship or any job, and it is not a substitute for advice from a school counselor.

3. Your account

Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at support@briddg.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

4. Your content belongs to you

Your moments, notes, photos and essays ("Your Content") belong to you. You give BRiDDG a limited license to store, process and display Your Content only to provide the Services to you, and to your school if you use BRiDDG through a school account. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in backups for up to 90 days.

We will never sell Your Content, use it in advertising, or share it publicly without your permission. If you are under 18, we will also ask for a parent or guardian's permission before featuring anything you created, such as a testimonial.

Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not upload photos of other people without their permission.

5. Academic integrity and AI

BRiDDG guides you to write your own essays in your own voice. It does not write essays for you. You are responsible for following the rules of each college, scholarship and application platform you use, including rules on the use of AI tools, and for making sure what you submit is your own work.

6. Rules for using BRiDDG

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate someone or use another person's account
  • Collect information about other users
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the Services, or try to get around security features
  • Upload viruses or harmful code
  • Use the Services to advertise, sell or promote anything
  • Use the Services to build a competing product
  • We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

    7. Schools and districts

When a school or district provides BRiDDG to students, the written agreement between BRiDDG and that school, including any data privacy agreement, governs how student data is handled and takes priority over these Terms where they conflict. We act as a "school official" under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), use student data only for the school's educational purpose, and delete or return it as the agreement requires.

    8. Premium, payments and renewals

BRiDDG offers a free plan and paid Premium plans. Prices are shown at checkout in US dollars, plus any applicable tax. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express through our payment processors. Students under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission to purchase.

Premium renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal. If we offer a free trial, its terms will be shown at signup. We will give notice of price changes as required by law.

You can cancel anytime in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

    9. Refunds

    • Annual plans: you may cancel at any time and receive a prorated refund for the full unused months remaining in your term. Partial months are not refunded.
    • Monthly plans: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Partial months are not refunded, and you keep access until the cycle ends.
    • School, district and partner plans: governed by the written agreement with that organization.

Eligible refunds are processed within 1 to 2 business days of the cancellation request and returned to the original payment method. Questions: support@briddg.com.

    10. Our intellectual property

The Services, including our software, designs, text, graphics and the BRiDDG name and logo, belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own non-commercial use under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve BRiDDG without obligation to you.

    11. Third-party links

The Services may link to college, scholarship and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Review their terms and privacy policies before sharing information with them. BRiDDG does not display third-party advertising to students.

    12. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on BRiDDG infringes your copyright, send a notice to our copyright agent: The Rebel Scholar Corp. dba BRiDDG, Attn: Copyright Agent, 1534 N Moorpark Rd #375, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, support@briddg.com. Include the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If your content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter notification to the same address.

    13. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the law, or to protect users or the Services. When an account is deleted, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy. If you used BRiDDG through a school, the school's agreement also applies.

    14. Changes to the Services and these Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms. For material changes to these Terms, we will notify account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use BRiDDG after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

    15. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Services will be uninterrupted or error free, or that any college, scholarship or career outcome will result from using them.

    16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BRiDDG and its officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the lesser of the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose or $100. Some states do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

    17. Disputes and arbitration

Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with BRiDDG, email support@briddg.com. Both sides agree to try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days before starting arbitration.

Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute will be decided by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Ventura County, California, or online or by phone. If the arbitrator finds the costs excessive, we will pay all arbitration fees.

Class action waiver. Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. Neither side may bring or join a class, collective or representative action.

Exceptions. Either side may bring a claim in small claims court, and either side may go to court over intellectual property rights, unauthorized use or invasion of privacy, or to seek injunctive relief. Any case that proceeds in court will be heard in the state or federal courts in Ventura County, California.

Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, to the extent the law allows.

    18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules.

    19. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover losses and reasonable legal costs we face from third-party claims caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.

    20. Electronic communications

You agree to receive notices and agreements from us electronically, by email or in the app.

    21. California users

If a complaint is not resolved, California users may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or call (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.

    22. General

These Terms, our Privacy Policy and any school agreement are the entire agreement between you and BRiDDG about the Services. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them as part of a merger or sale, subject to our Privacy Policy.
