Editorial Policy

BRiDDG publishes guides for high school students, parents, and school counselors about college applications, activities, and career exploration. This policy explains who writes them, how we check them, and how we fix mistakes.

Who writes our guides

Every guide names its author. Sara Bavar is the Executive Co-Founder of BRiDDG. She holds a Master’s in Social Change and Innovation from the University of Southern California (USC). Her background is in social change and brand building, focused on making tools that reach the students who are usually left out.

The author is responsible for each guide’s accuracy. We may use AI tools to help with research and drafting. A named author reviews every guide, checks every source, and approves it before it is published.

How we source information

Student examples

Student examples in our guides are hypothetical unless we say otherwise. They are models for describing real experiences. They are not testimonials or admissions outcomes, and they are not text to copy into an application.

If we publish a real student’s story, we will have written permission from the student and, for anyone under 18, from a parent or guardian. We will label it as a real story.

Updates

We review guides when admissions policies change and at least once a year. When we update a guide, we change its date.

Corrections

If you spot an error or an outdated policy, email briddg@briddg.com. We review every report, fix confirmed errors promptly, and note significant corrections on the page.

Privacy

Our guides never include a real student’s personal information without consent. Our Privacy Policy explains how BRiDDG handles student information in the product.
